We're looking for a Collections & AR Manager who can take ownership of the full accounts receivable lifecycle-from invoicing and collections to cash application and reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with clients, collaborate across teams, and mentor a growing AR/collections team. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building processes, and is comfortable wearing both strategic and tactical hats.

responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end AR process, including billing, collections, and cash application
- Take a proactive, hands-on approach to collections, building strong client relationships and resolving issues efficiently
- Ensure timely and accurate application of incoming payments in collaboration with the accounting team
- Coach, mentor, and develop a small but growing AR/collections team
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Monitor and report on key AR metrics (e.g., DSO, aging, bad debt), providing insights and updates to leadership
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to ensure billing accuracy and exceptional client experience
qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in AR, collections, and cash application, ideally within a B2B services or consulting environment
- Proven experience managing client-facing collections with a relationship-driven approach
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience within a finance or AR team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Proficiency with AR systems and ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Salesforce)
