responsibilities:
- Supervise Staff Accountant/(s)
- Analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports including variance explanations for assigned accounts.
- Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Ensure all bank reconciliations are completed by delegating and/or performing reconciliations and confirm that all variances are researched.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Prepare and/or supervise, month-end journal entries and accruals.
- Calculate commission payments, accruals, and reports.
- Delegate tasks such as schedules, balance sheet reconciliations etc. to staff accountant(s) and review their work for accuracy.
- Support the preparation of documents required for financial audits and other reviews.
- Coordinate the collection of all subsidiary monthly schedules and reconciliations and review for accuracy and completeness. Communicate with subsidiary accountants to ensure completeness of schedules.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of public accounting experience (i.e., CPA firm) or public company experience, or 5 to 7 years' experience in accounting
- Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with data coming from multiple platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs such as Word and Excel.
- Must be a U.S. Person as required by ITAR
