A Wallingford area manufacuter is seeking a Controller to take on a pivotal role overseeing a variety of financial and operational aspects. This individual will manage accounting, cost analysis, budgeting, taxation, and cash management functions. A strong background in Cost Accounting and Inventory Management is highly advantageous. Please note that recent manufacturing experience is a non-negotiable requirement for this role; only candidates with this specific background will be considered.
The position will pay in the $150-160K range and will be onsite 5 days per week.

responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage banking, treasury, and working capital.
- Conduct product margin analysis, generate manufacturing and engineering burden rates, and monitor labor productivity.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable, manage the year-end audit, and control physical inventory.
- Generate weekly KPI, monthly bookings, and backlog reports.
- Ensure SOX compliance, handle quarterly sales tax filings, and verify the creditworthiness of new customers and vendors.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- At least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Ability to take ?initiative
- Must be a team player with impeccable integrity and strong leadership skills.
