responsibilities:
- Preparing and filing individual, S-Corporation, C-Corporation, partnership, estate, trust, and non-profit tax returns.
- Assisting in gathering and organizing client financial data and tax documents.
- Conducting preliminary research on tax regulations to ensure compliance.
- Communicating with clients to clarify tax-related questions and resolve discrepancies.
- Preparing complex individual, S-Corporation, C-Corporation, partnership, estate, trust, and non-profit tax returns.
- Conducting tax planning and projections for individual and business clients.
- Researching complex tax issues and providing recommendations.
- Collaborating with the Tax Director and team to deliver timely and accurate tax filings.
- Managing the preparation and review of all types of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Leading tax planning initiatives and providing strategic advice to clients.
- Serving as a key point of contact for client relationships, building trust and delivering exceptional service.
- Staying updated on tax legislation changes and implementing them in client engagements.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-5+ years of experience preparing and reviewing tax returns across diverse client types.
- A solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations is required.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and a commitment to excellent client service.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
