Privately held real estate investment firm is looking for an Assistant Controller.
The Assistant Controller Role will be a key member of the finance & accounting team. The role reports to the Corporate Controller and will also have regular interaction with the Chief Financial Officer as well as team leaders in Operations and Asset Management.

- Manage accounting review and audits (both Fund level and Property level). On a quarterly basis, oversea the review of financials for Funds, including reviewing various waterfalls and asset management fees (prepared by Fund Administrator)
- Quarterly reviewing property financials, prepared by property managers
- Review Fund Limited Partnership Agreements ("LPAs") and LP side letters to ensure compliance with waterfall calculations and reporting requirements
- Ongoing quarterly reporting to our LP's, Partners and KPI/Dashboard reporting to organizational leaders, including helping to improve and build out reporting capabilities
- Assist in the cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning for our various funds as well as the management company
- Handle prorations for acquisitions and ensuring post-closing prorations are completed and accurate
- Assist in onboarding and/or leading finance/accounting system implementations (i.e. accounting software implementation, payment processing) as needed
- Reviewing, improving and documenting existing (and new) policies, processes and procedures
- Assist in treasury and cash management across multiple bank platforms; opening new bank accounts
- Documenting Policies and Procedures
- Onboarding new Property Managers

CPA with 6+ years of related experience
Experience with private equity/real estate industry required
Salary: $140-160K + annual bonus
