Randstad is partnering with a client to recruit a Manager, Business Intelligence for a direct-hire opening. This is a high-impact, newly created leadership position essential to driving data-informed strategy and operational excellence across the organization.
The successful candidate will lead a small, high-performing team of two (2) BI specialists, overseeing the entire Business Intelligence platform and delivering actionable insights that directly impact net revenue and organizational performance. This role is highly visible and requires polished executive-level presentation skills.

responsibilities:
The Business Intelligence Manager acts as the central architect of data-informed strategy, with a primary mission to transform complex data infrastructure into measurable organizational growth and critical business decisions.
- Supervise and mentor a two-person BI team, fostering a high-performing, proactive, and inclusive culture focused on technical excellence and continuous professional development.
- Drive the timely execution of strategic data initiatives by setting clear milestones and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-wide BI solutions and data warehouse systems, translating complex business requirements into actionable reporting solutions that enable rapid decision-making.
- Act as the primary technical translator and presenter, delivering compelling data concepts and findings to Executive-level leadership to directly guide and influence strategic organizational decisions.
- Platform Mastery (Microsoft BI Stack) Directly oversee the technical lifecycle (development, modification, and troubleshooting) of the core Microsoft BI stack, specializing in ETL (SSIS), OLAP (SSAS), and Reporting (SSRS).
- Establish and enforce rigorous performance standards, audit, and quality assurance processes to guarantee the highest levels of data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all enterprise BI systems.
- Lead the evaluation, testing, and strategic implementation of new BI tools and architecture components, while maintaining comprehensive system documentation and supporting knowledge transfer.
qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing BI solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft BI stack:
- T-SQL (Transact-SQL)
- MS SQL Server
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- MS Visual Studio
- Proven experience translating complex data and technical concepts into concise, compelling strategic recommendations for Executive management and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to align BI strategy with core business priorities, drive multi-project coordination, and manage competing priorities effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving mindset, committed to continuous improvement, and a proven track record of effective, accountable decision-making in dynamic environments.
