responsibilities:
- Lead & Mentor: Directly oversee and support a dedicated team of three (AP/AR and Staff Accounting).
- Financial Reporting: Spearhead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Consolidations: Manage the financial reporting and consolidation for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy across a diverse portfolio.
- Tax Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for our outside accounting firm to ensure seamless tax filings and compliance.
- Operational Oversight: Maintain a "roll-up-your-sleeves" approach to daily accounting functions, including AP, AR, and general ledger management.
qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Leadership: At least 3 years in a management or leadership role, with a proven track record of developing staff.
Technical Excellence:
Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas are second nature to you).
Strong ERP familiarity; experience navigating and optimizing accounting software is essential.
The "Soft" Skills: You're a clear communicator who can translate complex financials for non-finance stakeholders.
