We are seeking a high-caliber CFO Consultant to provide immediate staff augmentation for a fast-paced, private equity-backed organization. This is a full-time engagement (40+ hours per week) triggered by a medical leave of absence. You will step directly into the vacant CFO seat to provide day-to-day leadership and maintain momentum on critical financial initiatives.
This is an attractive opportunity for a seasoned leader who thrives in acquisitive environments. The company recently closed an acquisition and has more targets in the immediate pipeline. You will be responsible for the integration of the recent acquisition while ensuring the finance and accounting functions remain robust during a period of growth and transition.

responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day CFO leadership and strategic oversight for the finance and accounting functions.
- Manage all financial reporting and ensure accuracy for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Private Equity sponsor.
- Lead banking relationships, specifically managing a current high-priority bank review.
- Directly manage a team of <10, consisting of AP/AR leaders and the finance function (note: there is currently no Controller).
- Interface effectively with the ELT and PE Sponsor to provide financial transparency and support decision-making.
- Drive integration efforts for a recently closed acquisition and prepare for future M&A activity.
qualifications:
- The successful candidate must have extensive experience at the CFO level, specifically within Private Equity-backed environments. You must demonstrate a track record of total management experience exceeding 10+ years, with the ability to lead lean teams in the absence of a Controller.
Must-Haves: - Solid, verifiable CFO-level experience.
- Proven ability to manage banking relationships and navigate bank reviews.
- Strong executive presence for interaction with ELT members and PE sponsors.
- Capacity to work 40+ hours per week on-site/full-time.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the Insurance Agency/Brokerage industry.
- Hands-on experience with M&A integration.
