Senior Accoutnant
A fast-growing company committed to building scalable, secure, and resilient networks that enhance government operations seeks a Senior Accountant. This position is a senior individual contributor role responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, supporting audits, supporting the ERP and related business systems, maintaining security and compliance and providing financial insight to leadership.

responsibilities:
- Assist with daily financial operations including payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, DCAA, FAR, and other federal contracting financial requirements.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare financial statements - P&L, balance sheet and cash flows
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses and documentation.
- Partner with the CFO, Controller and Head of Accounting to analyze financial performance, identify risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop, document, and implement process improvements in financial systems
- Assist with treasury activities, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations related to financial operations.
- Provide mentorship and subject matter expertise across the finance and HR/payroll functions as needed.
- Interact with our parent company to handle intercompany reporting, reconciliation and various other matters.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience,
- Strong understanding of GAAP, federal contract compliance, and DCAA regulations.
- Strong understanding of Deltek Costpoint ERP system.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex reconciliations, payroll integrations, and benefits accounting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
