Tatum project for 3-6 months in duration for an Interim CFO. The project is with a Private Equity Backed Distribution company. The Interim CFO will need to be a hands-on leader in a lean environment. The company has turnover and needs a CFO to step in immediately to bridge the gap during a permanent search effort.

responsibilities:
- Bank and Debt Reporting: Manage all financial reporting and compliance reporting for debt facilities.
- Liquidity Management: Oversee cash flow budgeting and forecasting, specifically navigating the company's tightest liquidity cycle in May.
- Private Equity Liaison: Maintain the monthly reporting cadence to the sponsor, including weekly flashes for sales and liquidity and monthly performance calls.
- Audit and Tax Oversight: Manage the final stages of the annual audit (due June 30) and oversee tax filings with external partners.
- Strategic Support: Assist in evaluating M&A acquisition targets and growth initiatives in the heavy-duty tractor-trailer market.
- Operational Review: Provide oversight for the Controller; you must review all work and handle MD&A and ad hoc analysis personally.
qualifications:
- Executive Leadership: 5+ years of CFO is required with a company >$50 million in revenue.
- Sponsor-Backed Environment: Significant experience working with Private Equity sponsors and reporting to co-CEOs/Board of Directors.
- Industry: Background in
- Distribution is highly preferred; Manufacturing experience is acceptable.
- ERP: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Business Central is a Must have non-negotiable requirement.
- Analytical Tools: Must have a "hands-on" expert level of Excel; the lean staff structure means you cannot delegate reporting or analysis.
- Accounting Standards: Deep understanding of GAAP (the company recently converted from cash-basis).
- CPA: Preferred (Nice to have), but not a strict requirement.
