responsibilities:
As our Full-Cycle AP Specialist, you will be the engine driving our vendor payment process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Own the AP Cycle: Manage the entire Accounts Payable lifecycle from receipt of invoices through payment.
- Invoice Processing: Accurately review, code, and enter a high volume of vendor invoices and expense reports into the accounting system.
- Reconciliation & Problem Solving: Perform 3-way matching, resolve discrepancies, and reconcile vendor statements monthly, acting as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries.
- Payment Execution: Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (ACH, Wire, Check) ensuring proper approvals are obtained.
- Month-End Support: Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparing accruals and maintaining accurate AP records.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate and streamline AP processes to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
- 1099 Management: Manage the year-end preparation and distribution of 1099 forms.
qualifications:
- 3+ years of dedicated, full-cycle Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of major ERP or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, etc.) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Attention to Detail: Impeccable accuracy and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal departments.
