responsibilities:
- Apply customer ACH, check, wire, and credit card payments accurately in the ERP system.
- Research unapplied cash, deductions, short payments, pricing errors, and freight claims.
- Review AR aging schedules, contact past-due accounts, and resolve payment disputes.
- Issue approved credit memos, process balance adjustments, and maintain full audit trails.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing issues.
- Reconcile customer accounts and the AR subledger to the general ledger during month-end close.
- Adhere to accounting policies, maintain documentation, and support internal/external audits.
qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred or equivalent experience prefered
- 2+ years of accounts receivable, cash application, or collections experience.
- Hands-on experience working within an ERP system.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong natural curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
