responsibilities:
SUMMARY
- Support the development and management of internal sensory panel(s) by aiding in screening, training and monitoring of the internal panelist performance
- Upon completion of training in internal sensory software, in this role an individual will be expected to be a superuser of this system
- Will also be expected to support the roll-out of Nestle best practices site-wide
- Assist in managing and executing sensory research studies with excellence:
- Involved in and sometimes lead internal technical tastings
- Plan, organize, and execute sensory panel sessions
- Analyze, interpret and summarize sensory findings
- Interact closely with SPX Principal Scientist to integrate sensory and consumer data within projects to ensure consumer preference
qualifications:
EDUCATION:
- Master's degree (or Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience) in Sensory Science, Food Technology, Food Science, or other related fields. Must have taken at least 1 sensory science course in school and/or have equivalent experience/education.
- Experience leading trained sensory panels.
- Experience in consumer-packaged goods or R&D a plus.
- Experience translating technical data into great storytelling for a variety of audiences a plus.
- Software knowledge:?Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Independently motivated.
- Good interpersonal/teamwork skills and a sense of business/technical interrelationships
- Sensory panels experience
skills: Chemistry, GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
