Seeking an experienced Epidemiologist (fully remote) to join a growing pharmaceutical team in a contract role supporting research across the drug development lifecycle. This position focuses on generating and evaluating epidemiologic evidence to inform clinical trial design, safety assessments, and post-marketing activities.
This is a one-year contract (potential for extension) starting in July.

responsibilities:
- Conduct epidemiologic research to enhance disease understanding and inform drug development, including analysis of incidence, prevalence, natural history, treatment patterns, and population variability across demographics and geographies.
- Support clinical trial and medication safety initiatives by identifying target populations, informing protocol design, assessing background event rates, and conducting meta-analyses to identify high-risk groups.
- Lead post-marketing and real-world evidence studies, including signal detection, risk mitigation, and benefit-risk evaluations, through critical appraisal of existing data and generation of new insights using internal healthcare databases.
qualifications:
Required:
- Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field
- 3 years of experience as an Epidemiologist in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, or government
- Strong background applying epidemiologic methods to support drug development (e.g., safety, effectiveness, disease understanding)
- PhD in Epidemiology or related discipline (e.g., health services research, health outcomes research, public health, statistics, or pharmaceutical sciences)
- Pharmaceutical experience specifically supporting clinical development or post-marketing activities
- Experience working with real-world data or large healthcare databases
