responsibilities:
- Responsible for sensory laboratory:
- Implement good laboratory practices and safe laboratory behavior, ensuring compliance to all relevant Nestlé standards.
- Implement and monitor maintenance programs to ensure sensory equipment and facilities are clean, organized, operational, and properly calibrated.
- Maintain inventory of sensory lab materials, and order supplies as needed to ensure sensory lab operational continuity.
- Maintain and create relevant documentation for sensory lab procedures and best practices.
- Assist Sensory & Product Experience Manager in driving initiatives to evolve sensory lab practices.
- Coordinate and assist Specialists with sensory panel recruitment activities.
- Work with IT to set up equipment for new sensory panelists.
- Prepare monthly reports on resource utilization for services provided to relevant business partners.
- Manage sensory product reception, storage, inventory, and disposal.
- Assist Sensory Specialists with test creation in sensory software and launch respective IT sessions.
- Coordinate panel instructions with Sensory Specialists and Technicians before, during, and after sensory studies.
- Assist Specialists with sensory training, sensory glossary development, and other sensory related activities as required.
- Assist Sensory Specialists with the coordination and execution of training activities for employees.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field. College level Sensory Science coursework is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment is preferred either in an academic or professional setting. Sensory lab experience is a plus.
- Software knowledge: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proficiency in sensory software is a plus.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience driving initiatives to successful completion.
- Track record of working effectively in a team environment.
- Flexible work hours, as required by the business.
- A collaborative attitude, enjoys working with, learning from, and sharing knowledge with others.
