About the Role: Join the Pre-Pivotal Drug Substance Technologies group, where you'll contribute to the development and scale-up of upstream and downstream processes for early-stage drug programs. This hybrid role combines data analytics and wet-lab bioprocessing - ideal for early-career candidates with a background in life sciences, data science, or engineering.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data visualization and scripting (Python or R), experience working with biological datasets, and basic lab skills in cell culture and protein purification. You'll build data models, generate reports and dashboards, and assist with lab experiments. Internship or 1 year of industry experience is preferred, but motivated recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
This position sits within an integrated bioprocess development group where cell culture and purification scientists collaborate to advance the company's rich and dynamic pipeline. With a biology-first approach, this role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to multiple therapeutic modalities, including antibodies, BiTEs, oncolytic viruses, bispecifics, and siRNAs.

responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data analysis pipelines, including implementation and visualization tools
- Support data processing requests and create data visualization tools
- Support lab automation development and maintenance
- Analyze chemical and biological datasets to support process development
- Build automated data pipelines and internal databases
- Develop and deploy new data analysis methods to mine and integrate internal datasets
- Support the design and execution of bench-scale cell culture and protein purification experiments
- Apply creative thinking to contribute to technology development, including process and data automation
qualifications:
Required:
- BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in R or Python (and associated libraries/packages)
- Experience working with biological datasets
- Hands-on wet-lab experience (cell culture and/or protein purification)
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Internship or 1+ year industry experience
- Familiarity with data tools like JMP, Spotfire, Tableau, or MATLAB
- Understanding of protein chromatography, filtration, cell culture, and/or DoE principles
- Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
