We are seeking a motivated, skilled Scientist 2 to join our interdisciplinary Analytical Core Laboratory team. In this role, you will support reagent and consumables development with innovative and agile characterization, leveraging our portfolio of chromatography, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopic instrumentation. A strong technical background in analytical chemistry is required, paired with the forward-facing collaborative skills needed to support a Core facility. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to grow the laboratory's capabilities alongside their own.

responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a range of analytical instruments, including but not limited to LC-QTOF, LC-QQQ, HPLC, ICP-MS, FT-IR, and NMR. Expertise
- Design, optimize, and execute experimental protocols aligned with internal product development workflows.
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate experimental data to diverse internal stakeholders.
- Represent the Core team in user meetings, project presentations, and training sessions.
- Foster a collaborative and communicative environment within the team, and with Core users.
- Adapt responsibilities as needed to meet evolving business needs.
qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant field with 0-2 years of industry experience, or
- MS with 3-5 years of industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing analytical methods for complex scientific challenges.
- Proficiency in several of the following techniques: HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, NMR.
- Strong background in method development and analytical characterization of biomolecules, such as enzymes and oligonucleotides.
- Experience with handling complex datasets and data transformations using platforms such as JMP, R, Python, etc.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with next-generation sequencing platforms is a plus.
- Experience in a product development setting is highly desirable.
