We're looking for a skilled Data Scientist III to join a team dedicated to designing, planning, and executing research studies that examine the value of pharmaceutical assets. responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into project concepts and collaborate with scientists to develop study protocols.
- Serve as the analytical lead for a therapeutic area to resolve issues and reduce operational complexity.
- Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships to ensure effective teamwork and problem-solving.
- Write analytical components of reports describing studies, outcomes, and methods.
- Present study results and contribute to scientific publications.
- Support clinical trial endpoint strategies by executing statistical analysis plans.
- Identify internal and external data resources and expertise to execute research strategies.
qualifications:
Required skills and qualifications:
- Master's degree in Statistics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience with SAS, SQL, R, and/or Python.
- Experience and/or training in advanced scientific and analytical methods.
- Ability to independently execute programming assignments and troubleshoot issues.
- Proficiency in data science techniques like visualization and machine learning.
- Ability to present complex research and data clearly to stakeholders.
- Accountability for meeting timelines in a complex matrix structure.
- PhD in Statistics or a closely related discipline.
- Professional training in a healthcare field.
- Experience analyzing large medical claims datasets.
- Prior experience in the UNIX/Hadoop environment.
- Ability to perform urgent analyses with short turnaround times.
- Familiarity with traditional healthcare databases (e.g., administrative claims data, electronic medical records).
