responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor, track, and interpret all relevant US federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to consumer product packaging, including materials, claims, and environmental compliance standards (e.g., EPR).
- Serve as the US regulatory point of contact for packaging-related activities, collaborating closely with local R&D, operations, and global regulatory teams to ensure alignment on new product launches and packaging modifications.
- Prepare clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation, summaries, and position papers to communicate the impact of US packaging regulations to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure continuous compliance across all product packaging and labeling elements marketed in the US.
- Maintain updated internal databases and communication channels to ensure all project teams are informed of the latest regulatory tasks, deadlines, and information.
qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science) or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience working within a regulatory affairs, compliance, or quality role within a regulated industry (e.g., consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, food/beverage).
- Demonstrated, high-level ability to independently read, interpret, and effectively apply complex federal and state regulatory texts and guidelines.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with proven experience working effectively across multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple regulatory projects simultaneously.
- Master's degree in a Scientific discipline, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
- Prior experience specifically with product packaging regulations and the evolving US Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) landscape.
- Strong working knowledge of the broader US regulatory landscape for consumer products or personal care/beauty products.
- Experience in a dynamic R&D or laboratory-focused environment.
