Immediate openings for Bioprocess / Biomanufacturing Associates with a leading, global company focused on gene therapy innovation, located in the North Bay region of the Bay area.
Shifts: All shifts/days available: Manufacturing operations are 24/7
- 5 x 8 hour shift
- 4 x 10 hour shift
- 3 x 12 and 4x12 hour shifts
- 1st shift: 7am-3pm
- 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm (10% shift differential added to the pay rate)
- 3rd shift: 11pm-7am (15% shift differential added to the pay rate)

responsibilities:
- Execute and master complex biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including mammalian cell culture, various filtration techniques (depth, TFF), chromatography, and centrifugation.
- Identify and elevate processing issues and actively support the implementation of effective solutions and process optimization initiatives.
- Utilize Quality Systems (e.g., Deviations, CAPAs, Change Requests) and strictly adhere to cGMP standards as related to Commercial Operations.
- Provide feedback on operational procedures and assist in writing and reviewing technical documentation to incorporate new practices and standards.
- Learn and operate various automation and business systems, including LIMS, MES, PI, Trackwise, and ERP, and support the trending of department metrics.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive motions, climbing, and regularly lifting, pushing, and pulling items up to 25 pounds.

Required:
- Associate's degree in a science-related area or a Biotech certificate with at least 2 years of experience in a biotech manufacturing or other regulated industry.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with cGMPs (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and utilizing quality systems.
- Display good initiative to identify areas for improvement and support the implementation of solutions.
- Ability to perform strenuous, repetitive work and physical movements including bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting.
- Flexibility to work various shift-based and off-hours schedules as required by operations.
- Willingness to use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related area or engineering.
- Understanding of process theory and equipment operation.
