responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expert proficiency in test ordering policies, hospital processing procedures, specimen requirements, and meticulous sample preparation.
- Perform accurate remote accessioning (pre-accessioning) of specimens using client-specific protocols.
- Interpret specimen flow and tracking data using all available reports and resources, including the Hospital LIS system.
- Problem Resolution:
- Act as the primary troubleshooter for issues related to specimen types, missing information (TIQ/TNP), and additional sample requests.
- Proactively resolve client issues and manage complex problem-solving scenarios related to area of responsibility.
- Provide exceptional customer service as the key liaison between the hospital customer and the performing laboratory, offering proactive support.
- Effectively manage all inbound client calls with a positive and professional interaction.
- Collaborate with hospital laboratory staff, the sales team, and other functions to communicate information regarding problem-solving, test cancellations, and billing requirements.
- Print Quest-performed testing reports.
- Manage and execute supply ordering processes.
- Ensure all actions strictly adhere to compliance and legal requirements.
qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience
- Previous experience in a hospital laboratory environment
- Working knowledge of medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory setting
- Knowledge or experience with Hospital LIS Systems (Laboratory Information Systems)
