The Center for Technology & Innovation (CfTI) department is seeking a highly motivated hands-on Senior Scientist (Computational Biologist) with expertise in clinical bioinformatics, biomarker development, assay development, ML algorithms & data science, statistical modeling, handling clinical data sets and a background in biology and computational sciences. This is a high-visibility, individual contributor role preferring experience within matrix environments representing the function and requiring the development of methods to support the entirety of the clinical portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a strong R programmer with experience analyzing clinical biomarker data tied to efficacy and safety outcomes, and who enjoys collaborating closely with scientists to iterate on analyses and interpretations.

responsibilities:
- Perform exploratory and hypothesis-driven analyses of prostate cancer biomarker datasets, evaluating associations between baseline and on-treatment biomarkers and clinical efficacy and safety endpoints.
- Document, refactor, and write clean R code / tidyverse code to accomplish scientific objectives set by Precision Medicine and global development leadership
- Engage in scientific discussion and iteration with hiring manager and technical review SMEs to revise and improve code and analyses.

- Deep knowledge of prostate indications
- Programming experience in R & Python and familiarity with tidyverse principles
- Familiarity with assay development and qualification requirements for clinical trial support
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment and drive scientific and technical innovation collaboratively with other members of the group, as well as with Company research community
- Three or more years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivation, independence, and leadership
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field with 2+ years of experience; or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience.
- Significant experience in bioinformatics, applied mathematics and/or statistics, including linear mixed effects models, to analyze multi-modal, multi-dimensional and large-scale biological data
- A working knowledge of platforms and readouts utilized for the assessment of clinical biomarkers including flow cytometry, IHC, NGS, immunoassays, imaging, and transcriptional profiling assays
- Advanced programming proficiency in R, specifically adhering to tidyverse principles and reproducible research workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical bioinformatics or a clinical development environment, including a deep understanding of cancer biology.
- Strong command of statistical modeling, including linear mixed effects models and survival analysis.
- Specific therapeutic area expertise in prostate cancer or broader solid tumor indications.
- Working knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications within clinical trial settings.
- Familiarity with assay development and qualification requirements for clinical trial support.
- Previous experience operating within a highly matrixed biotechnology or pharmaceutical corporate environment.
