responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Bioinformatic Analysis: Support the analysis of diverse multi-omics datasets, including microbiome (16S, WGS), transcriptomics, and metabolomics, under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret biological data from complex in vitro models, including 2D cell cultures, 3D reconstructed skin, and ex vivo human skin samples.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with analytical, safety, and clinical teams to coordinate the evaluation of new actives and ensure seamless data flow across the R&D pipeline.
- Project Stewardship: Track milestones and evaluation progress to ensure project timelines are met within a fast-paced innovation cycle.
- Data Management: Manage, synthesize, and upload technical results into internal databases, maintaining high standards of data integrity.
- Technical Communication: Translate complex findings into high-quality PowerPoint presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Operational Support: Oversee critical logistics, including material ordering, international shipping, and general lab supply organization.
qualifications:
Required:
- Education: MS or PhD in Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biology, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a professional industrial or academic research setting.
- Microbiome Expertise: Direct experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and microbial ecology.
- Biological Knowledge: Familiarity with skin physiology and the morphology of skin appendages.
- Industry Context: Previous experience within a Cosmetic or Personal Care Research & Innovation environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in R or Python for bioinformatic pipelines and data visualization.
- Software: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) for professional data management and presentation.
- Soft Skills: Strong project management abilities with the self-motivation to lead tasks independently while remaining a dedicated team player.
