responsibilities:
- Advanced Analytical Testing: Perform comprehensive analysis of samples and raw materials utilizing chromatographic (HPLC, GC), spectroscopic (FTIR), and various wet chemistry and physical testing techniques.
- Method Application & Compliance: Apply established test methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to successfully complete all required analytical testing in accordance with good quality and compliance practices.
- Data Interpretation & Reporting: Collect, process, and accurately interpret analytical results, derive conclusions based on sound scientific principles, and prepare clear reports for diverse stakeholders (both scientific and non-scientific).
- Quality & Investigation: Execute root cause analyses for non-conformance events related to laboratory testing, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
- Operational Excellence: Adhere to all written procedures and laboratory practices, including site and department health and safety guidelines, while maintaining a safe, organized personal and shared workspace.
- Project Management & Communication: Effectively manage multiple projects, quickly adapt to unexpected events, prioritize work to ensure the on-time delivery of results, and communicate testing statuses to management.
qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field
- Minimum of 1-3 years of professional (post-graduate) experience in an analytical laboratory setting
- Mandatory hands-on experience with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC)
- Prior experience in the cosmetic, consumer packaged goods, or pharmaceutical industries
- Experience utilizing laboratory software systems such as Empower, Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
