responsibilities:
- Perform and train others on physical testing of laboratory samples (drug product, drug substance, in-process, etc) utilizing various chemical and biochemical techniques
- Prepare laboratory samples for analysis and prepare laboratory standards and solutions.
- Manage samples and associated documentation for duration of sample lifecycle, both physically and electronically.
- Author and Participate in laboratory investigations.
- Author, review, and revise SOP's and support Electronic Notebook template development (testing electronic lab notebook templates, author user requirement specifications, etc)
- Reviews and approves laboratory data
- Performs routine departmental GMP activities (lab instrument calibrations, preventive maintenance, audits, work orders, etc)
- Support analytical and instrument lifecycle, technical transfer, and/or validation
- Laboratory upkeep, maintenance, and continuous improvement (5S, routine equipment/glassware cleaning, etc)
qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional laboratory experience.
- Technical Skills: Foundational scientific knowledge and hands-on technical skills for a lab environment.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Compliance: Working knowledge of cGXP, ICH guidelines, FDA/USP/EP/JP regulations, and data integrity standards.
- Experience Level: 3-5 years of experience in a GMP laboratory setting.
- Industry Expertise: Background in biopharmaceutical testing and strong problem-solving skills.
- Analytical Techniques: Familiarity with assays such as CGE, CE-SDS, SEC, HPLC/UPLC, PS80, Peptide Mapping, Titer, and qPCR.
- Lab Systems & Instrumentation: * Software: SAP/ERP, Labware LIMS/LES, Webstatistica, and Empower.
- Hardware: Hamilton automated liquid handlers and analytical instruments (Agilent 1200/1260, QuantStudio 5, PA800).
- Emerging Tech: Experience using AI tools to enhance workflow or data analysis.
