responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and improve complex QC capacity models incorporating labor, assay throughput, equipment, and shift patterns.
- Consolidate multi-source demand inputs into a single, integrated planning view aligned with manufacturing priorities.
- Integrate QC capacity, constraints, and risks into current C&OP and Integrated Business Planning processes.
- Perform bottleneck analysis and conduct what-if scenario planning for operational disruptions or new demand.
- Support implementation of planning tools (Smart QC, Control Tower) through data readiness, testing, and reporting.
- Develop planning routines, governance materials, KPI definitions, and sustainable process documentation.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships across QC, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, MS&T, and QA.
qualifications:
Required:
- 5-8 years of capacity planning, demand planning, or scheduling experience specifically within a QC laboratory or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (Senior Manager caliber).
- Strong foundational understanding of QC operations and laboratory workflows (e.g., assay throughput, sample testing timelines, release processes).
- Proven ability to manage multi-source cross-functional inputs (Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality Assurance) and translate them into executable operational plans.
- Exceptional analytical, Excel modeling, and Project Management skills.
- Prior experience directly working as a QC scientist or technician before transitioning into an operations/planning career path.
