We are seeking an Analytical Lab Technician for a high-priority, 6-month contract role with a strong likelihood of extension and full-time conversion in Jefferson City, MO. This 100% onsite role operates on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule within a fast-paced, manufacturing-driven laboratory environment. It is an exceptional opportunity for a detail-oriented technician to gain premier industry experience handling cosmetic and over-the-counter (OTC) product analysis.

responsibilities:
- Perform raw material, bulk, and finished product characterization using wet chemistry and spectroscopy.
- Execute, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical chromatography methods (HPLC, GC, and Ion Chromatography).
- Calibrate, maintain, and ensure the operational readiness of high-tech laboratory instrumentation.
- Document precise data in batch records and SAP tracking systems while strictly adhering to site quality standards.
- Collect production samples and manage product releases or rejections based on documented testing data.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace and prepare for rigorous regulatory quality audits (e.g., FDA).
qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on analytical laboratory experience.
- Demonstrated experience with wet chemistry and chromatographic/spectroscopic techniques.
- Proficiency with data entry, lab documentation systems, and standard software platforms.
- Associate Degree in Chemistry or related biological/physical science.
- 1 to 2 years of industry laboratory experience, preferably in an analytical contract lab.
- Knowledge of SAP data systems and UMS protocols.
