responsibilities:
- Execute and troubleshoot RT-qPCR, ddPCR, and NGS assay workflows (RNAseq, WES, etc.), including DNA/RNA isolation on high-throughput extraction platforms.
- Review analytical data, QC metrics, and validation reports to ensure scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate and qualify automated liquid handling workflows for high-throughput NGS library preparation.
- Author SOPs and maintain accurate documentation in electronic lab notebooks and technical summaries.
- Partner with clinical operations and sample management to define sample journeys and laboratory manuals.
qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Genetics, Cell Biology, Immunology, Cancer Biology, Infectious Disease, Immuno-Oncology, or a related scientific discipline
- Ph D with at least 3 years of relevant biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience OR M.S. with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with a combination of qPCR, ddPCR, NGS platforms, molecular assay development, bioanalytical sciences, genomics, GcLP, or GLP laboratory environments.
- Previous experience working in regulatory (GLP and GcLP lab).
- Experience with automated platforms for RNA/DNA extraction from different human/animal matrices.
- Strong hands-on experience developing, optimizing, qualifying, or validating NGS-based RT-qPCR, and ddPCR assays.
- Experience with RNA-based technologies, mRNA therapeutics, vaccines, biologics, cell therapy, or related therapeutic platforms.
- Experience with automation and liquid handling platforms for high-throughput NGS library preparation.
- Familiarity with sequencing platforms, library QC methods, indexing strategies, assay controls, sequencing depth requirements, coverage metrics, and run acceptance criteria.
- Ability to review and interpret NGS assay performance metrics.
