responsibilities:
- Assist with the horseshoe crab blood collection and processing sequence following strict SOPs.
- Clean, prepare, and tag crabs with US Fish & Wildlife tags.
- Aseptically handle collection bottles inside bio-safety cabinets (hoods) and perform centrifuging, pipetting, and sonication.
- Maintain accurate, timely paperwork and ensure production equipment is cleaned and maintained.
- Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of the work area using strong sanitizing solutions.
qualifications:
- High School Diploma or 1-2 years of experience in a production environment.
- Strong ability to follow written procedures and carry them out to completeness.
- Excellent attendance, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working around chemical hazards and strong disinfecting solutions.
