A leading global biopharmaceutical innovator is seeking two seasoned, heavy-hitting Senior Medical Directors to spearhead a strategic evolution within their US Medical Affairs division. This urgent, minimum 6-month contract is an elite entry point into high-visibility clinical roles, focusing on localized, aggressive US-specific data production for a premier Oncology and Rare Tumor franchise.

responsibilities:
- Drive Strategy & Trial Design: Translate external insights into strategic study protocols, leading US-specific evidence generation, lifecycle management, and Phase 3b/4 or real-world evidence studies.
- Lead Governance & Funding: Successfully advance multi-million dollar study investments from initial conception through intense executive leadership scrutiny and corporate approval committees.
- Cultivate Expert Relationships: Establish and maintain deep, productive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), oncology healthcare professionals, and key data stakeholders.
- Mentor Internal Teams: Provide advanced clinical strategy mentorship, coaching junior internal team members promoted from tactical units on protocol design and data storytelling.
qualifications:
- Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD).
- Proven track record in clinical trial design and lifecycle management governance within a pharmaceutical company (Pharma background required; CRO-exclusive experience will not be considered).
- Deep therapeutic expertise in oncology or rare tumors, with the scientific gravitas to sit on governance committees.
- Ability to travel 10% to 20%, including monthly Monday-Thursday trips to Boston and major industry congresses.
