responsibilities:
- Provide direct engineering support and subject matter expertise for GMP process equipment, including ultrafiltration, chromatography, single-use mixers, isolators, and aseptic filling lines.
- Lead medium-to-large capital and engineering projects across all phases, including design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and validation.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, perform root-cause failure analysis, and own associated CAPAs, Change Controls, and Deviations.
- Own and maintain CMMS assets, preventive maintenance plans, calibration data sheets, and Engineering Turnover Packages.
- Collaborate closely with MS&T, Facilities, and Quality Assurance to ensure full GxP compliance and operational readiness.
qualifications:
Required:
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering, facilities, or operations experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with GMP process equipment and automation systems.
- Proven expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies, technical writing, and cross-functional leadership.
- Familiarity with production performance and reliability metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTF).
