An Electrical Designer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This role will design and develop 2D/3D electrical infrastructure models for government defense projects using SmartPlant 3D, ensuring compliance, coordination, and high-quality deliverables within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

responsibilities:
- Develop electrical designs for infrastructure components.
- Assist in creating detailed scale models and construction drawings.
- Review design documents for accuracy and quality.
- Participate in constructability and bulk material reviews.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines.
- Support work planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Train junior personnel in electrical design tasks.
- Produce 2D/3D models using CAD tools.
- Proficient in NEC code and NEMA/ANSI/IEEE standards.
- Experience with Cable Management Systems (e.g., SETROUTE).
- Collaboration and multitasking under tight deadlines.
- Familiar with electrical drawings for complex systems (e.g., data centers, nuclear facilities).
- Proficient in Smartplant 3D, AutoCAD, and SmartSketch.
- strong communication skills.
- Understanding of electrical engineering principles and company standards.
- Able to resolve design issues independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with DoD/DoE, USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, or NASA projects.
- Familiarity with QA standards like ISO-9000.
- AA/AS degree or CAD certificate with 3-4 years' experience or
- 5 to 6 years of relevant experience.
