Manufacturer in the Cape Girardeau area is seeking a Manufacturing Shift Supervisor to add to their team for night shift. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering manufacturing and previous supervisory experience. Previous manufacturing experience required, food related industry preferred. Hours are 7:00 pm - 7:00 am or 5 pm - 5 am with rotating weekends. Will consider entry level engineering candidates with co-op or internship manufacturing and leadership experience. Good leadership and interpersonal skills required. Bonus eligible, excellent benefits, 401K with generous company match!

responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the production lines operate efficiently, safely, and manufacture a high quality product.
- Responsible for the delivery of both technical and additional training programs.
- Assist with personnel in terms of leading, coaching, and promoting the values of the business.
- Take an active role with safety leadership in the workplace.
- Assist with hiring and training new employees
- In charge of scheduling and supervising a team of 20-30 employees; keeping attendance and paperwork
- Maintain all documentation and manuals
- Responsible for ensuring line issues are being addressed and solving mechanical problems
- Ensure measures are taken for a clean/safe workplace
- Coordinate, with production and freezer/warehouse departments, changeovers and moving of equipment to storage
- Engage in all aspects of continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar preferred
- Ability to make supervisory level decisions and lead a team
- Basic knowledge of technical machinery or process equipment required.
- MS Office skills required
- Must be open to working night shift, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am or 5:00 pm - 5:00 am
