An Electrical Designer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. This role involves creating and coordinating detailed electrical and process system designs using Revit and AutoCAD, conducting site visits, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate, code-compliant implementation in advanced industrial or construction environments.

responsibilities:
Conduct regular site visits to:
- Verify existing field conditions
- Ensure alignment of design implementation with the Basis of Design (BOD) and project specifications
- Project engineers, coordinators, and construction trades
- Other team members to ensure design reflects project objectives
- Produce accurate 3D models
- Prevent design clashes across disciplines
- Clear, accurate, and aligned with site design standards
- Create detailed electrical plans, including: Conduit and cable tray routing, Electrical panel schedules & Equipment layouts
- Power distribution
- Distribution gear, protection devices, feeders, and loads
- Contribute to product development/improvement for: Design changes, Cost reductions & Warranty and manufacturability improvements
- Evaluate vendors and assist with vendor selection
- Perform field walks and field verifications
- Provide drawing/drafting support for: Technical details and vendor submittals & Drawing review, control, and support of engineered systems design
- Associate's degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or a similar technical field
- 4+ years of progressive CAD drafting/design experience with process systems
- 2+ years of experience with Revit 3D modeling/design
- Experience in a manufacturing plant environment
- Experience in a construction environment
- Hands-on experience with: On-site punch list walks & Coordination with construction trades
- Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or advanced facilities
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
