An Electrical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. This role involves leading and executing complex electrical engineering designs for advanced semiconductor and manufacturing facilities, ensuring technical quality, code compliance, and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and technically accurate completion of assigned engineering tasks.
- Understand and manage project scope, budget, and schedule, communicate changes proactively.
- Coordinate tasks with discipline leads and other staff.
- Work in a collaborative, multi-discipline team.
- Support senior engineers in specifying/selecting electrical equipment.
- Provide on-site support during equipment startups.
- Produce electrical designs including: Single-line diagrams (208Y/120V-480V), Installation details, electrical room layouts, and tool connection diagrams, Cable tray layouts, cable schedules, power/lighting plans, Breaker coordination and Arc Flash/Short-Circuit studies.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, actively pursuing PE license (required).
- Proficient in National Electrical Code (NEC) application.
- Experience with CAD and/or BIM modeling software.
- Proficient in digital drawing markup using Autodesk Design Review, BIM360, etc.
- Experience in construction environments, including field verifications.
- Familiar with full design and construction project lifecycle (initiation to construction support).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy from an ABET-accredited university.
- Minimum of 6 years of electrical engineering experience in facility engineering.
