Quality Engineer needed for a great direct hire opportunity in the Kalamazoo, MI area!
The Quality Engineer will own the development and implementation of all quality related processes and also have direct involvement in manufacturing process development and continuous improvement.
The right person for this role will have a technical degree with at least 3 years of related experience within a quality role and proven knowledge ISO 9001 (ISO 13485) is a plus!
This person will be a great communicator with a proven customer approach and possess a knack for details.

responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of all quality related processes
- Meet/Exceed quality metrics and process metrics for existing & new business
- Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action
- Oversee all gage and measurement equipment to include certifications and calibrations
- Daily use of quality management system software and Statistical Process Control systems
- Participate in supplier and internal process audits
- Communicate with internal partners such as engineering, operations, and quality teams
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering along with 4+ years of related quality experience within an ISO environment
- Proven knowledge on ISO 9001 (ISO 13485 a plus), problem solving methods and the ability to work independently
- Six Sigma certifications a plus (green belt of higher)
- Experience with machining, fabrication, and assembly operations a plus
- Excellent communication skills, with a high sense of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in with Microsoft office (outlook, excel, word, power point)
- Ability to travel occasionally to another facility
