A Business Analyst is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Hickory, NC area. This support role in Supply Chain operations focuses on optimizing processes across planning, procurement, warehousing, and reporting through analytical, project management, and system skills, requiring strong communication and a proactive attitude.

responsibilities:
- Support and help manage Supply Chain operations, including planning, scheduling, procurement, packaging, warehousing, and materials control.
- Optimize use of equipment, materials, and workforce to support excellent customer service.
- Participate in cross-functional plant and corporate teams to improve performance in manufacturing efficiency, supply chain, and customer service.
- Use systems knowledge, analytics, and business acumen to assess and improve operations.
- Identify and lead improvement projects, develop reports and analyses for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to system implementation projects within the Supply Chain function.
- Improve packaging and warehouse processes such as shipping/receiving and storage optimization.
- Create, modify, and support reports and data queries for Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and other departments.
- Ensure and promote workplace safety for self and others.
- Benchmark and analyze processes to maximize efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Experience with MES/ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Analytical and project management abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
- strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and at all organizational levels.
- Self-driven, with strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- High School Diploma.
- 2-5 years supply chain experience, supply chain degree or APICS certification.
- Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
