Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry is looking for a Design Engineer II. Key qualifications include, 5+ years of experience conducting mechanical design of components in a manufacturing/production environment, and Experience manipulating and accessing CAD data from SOLIDWORKS 3D, CREO or similar tools. A Bachelors Degree in Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution is required.

responsibilities:
- Manages Non-Conformances: Reviews non-conformances and collaborates with teams to develop repairs or scrap justifications, applying analytical techniques to validate performance and identify margins.
- Ensures Airworthiness & Safety: Possesses an understanding of airworthiness, safety, and quality standards for affected end-items.
- Utilizes CAD & Stress Analysis: Proficient in manipulating CAD data (SOLIDWORKS, CREO, etc.) and conducting various levels of stress analysis.
- Approves Engineering Changes: Collaborates with the product team to review and disposition engineering changes and non-conformances with signatory authority for stress analysis.
- Applies Regulatory Knowledge: Guides repair principles and sustaining engineering activities based on a deep understanding of 14 CFR Part 21 regarding type design changes.
