A Designer is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Moline, IL area. This Designer/Modeler role supports product engineering by performing 3D modeling, drawing creation, feasibility testing, and documentation under the guidance of senior engineers using Creo and PDM tools.

responsibilities:
- Perform product design and 3D modeling for limited-scope projects using CAD tools (primarily Creo).
- Conduct feasibility testing of engineering solutions under supervision to support design validation.
- Create detailed engineering drawings to communicate and implement design solutions.
- Develop testing standards and procedures with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Support product development activities, including data interpretation and analysis of client situations.
- Follow established procedures to address routine functional inquiries.
- Learn and adhere to organizational policies, regulatory codes, and standards.
- Operate complex machines/equipment to optimize quality and productivity.
- Identify and solve simple process inefficiencies.
- Extract, input, and manage relevant data using spreadsheets or standard formats.
- Respond to queries from internal/external customers regarding policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Creo modeling and drafting.
- Knowledge of PDM/Windchill.
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers to create models and drawings.
- Ability to calculate basic tolerance stack ups.
- Understanding of the dimensioning and tolerancing standard ASME Y14.5.
- Able to follow modeling best practices.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to annotate a model in Creo.
