Building Controls Technician opportunity to join this client's Measurement and Verification team located in the Quantico, VA area. You will play a key role in overseeing the Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) to help optimize HVAC and systems operations. This position requires interfacing with engineers, installation teams, and government clients to optimize system-wide solutions for a key federal customer.

responsibilities:
- Utilize and monitor Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) to optimize the control of HVAC mechanical systems.
- Work with client operators to ensure energy-saving control strategies of equipment are maintained within contractual terms, proactively reviewing data to identify and resolve issues.
- Conduct energy audits in facilities, identify additional energy-saving strategies, and support the development of energy baselines and benchmarks.
- Provide technical support to development engineering, construction, and measurement and verification teams, including field sketches and discrepancy reports.
- Diagnose and repair complex electronic control system malfunctions, requiring knowledge of various digital control systems and software.
- Associate degree or a four-year vocational school program in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, or a similar field.
- A minimum of three years of industry experience, or five years of experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC controls systems, energy management control systems (EMCS), and network equipment installation and servicing techniques.
- Ability to install and use various energy monitoring equipment, including electrical, natural gas, steam, and water meters.
