A Mission Engineer is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products. Remote work. This role supports the evaluation and development of next-generation avionics systems by providing expert pilot feedback through simulator testing, scenario development, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams.

responsibilities:
- Act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during simulator-based evaluations of next-gen avionics systems.
- Provide both oral and written feedback on system features and usability.
- Conduct cognitive walkthroughs of piloting tasks for engineering/non-pilot observers.
- Participate in simulator sessions wearing eye-tracking and physiological monitoring devices.
- Be comfortable with being video recorded during simulation evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design test scenarios for system validation.
- Provide expert feedback on system operations, abnormal situations, and concepts of operation.
- Review system documentation and evaluation results for accuracy based on SME experience.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and mentorship in cross-functional teams.
- Embody a culture of ownership, curiosity, transparency, and empowerment.
