Leading engineering firm in Dallas, TX is looking to add a Drafter knowledgeable of Civil 3D and pipelines to a growing team. The Drafter will assist technical teams of detailers, designers and engineers to create world class detail on projects. This position will assist in developing computer-aided drafting design solutions. Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts. Proficiency is Civil 3D is needed for creating and editing alignments, profiles, and corridors for roadway, utility, and site grading projects.

responsibilities:
- Civil 3D Expertise: Proficient in creating and editing alignments, profiles, and corridors for roadway, utility, and site grading projects.
- Profile Views & Bands: Able to generate and customize profile views with data bands (e.g., existing/finished grade, pipe networks).
- Alignments: Experience with creating alignments from objects, layout tools, and modifying geometry. Understands stationing, PI labeling, and constraints.
- Scaling & Viewports: proficient understanding of annotative scaling, viewport setup, and plotting workflows. Can troubleshoot issues with blocks not appearing or scaling correctly in paper space.
- Surface & Pipe Networks: Skilled at working with surfaces (TIN/GRID), including profile creation from surfaces and adding labels.
- Sheet Set Production: Familiar with plan & profile sheet generation using Sheet Set Manager or Plan Production tools.
- Layer Management: Uses layer states, filters, and naming conventions to organize complex drawings.
- QA/QC: Able to review and correct errors in drafting related to scaling, alignment geometry, or annotation misplacement.
