The Maintenance Planner is a critical role responsible for optimizing the effectiveness of our maintenance workforce and maximizing equipment uptime by developing comprehensive, detailed work plans for all planned maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective work. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems, excellent planning skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance technicians, engineers, and operations personnel.

responsibilities:
- Scope out jobs thoroughly, including site visits, to determine the full extent of work required.
- Develop detailed, step-by-step job plans for mechanical repairs, inspections, overhauls, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Identify and list all necessary materials, special tools, equipment (e.g., cranes, forklifts), and safety equipment (PPE, LOTO devices).
- Coordinate with operations to secure equipment availability for planned maintenance work, minimizing production impact.
- Analyze completed work orders and maintenance history to identify opportunities for improving job plans, reducing maintenance costs, and enhancing equipment reliability.
- Ensure all planned work adheres to company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
