The Molding Design Engineer would be responsible for developing and designing tool engineering processes and technologies, as well as supporting customer tooling quotes and orders to ensure customer needs are met.

responsibilities:
- Review customer requests and orders to ensure all information for tooling is complete.
- Design efficient and safe tooling for optimal part production.
- Create detailed CAD drawings for tooling manufacturing.
- Develop comprehensive bills of materials for accurate part production.
- Implement solutions for damaged or unsafe tools to maintain functionality.
- Oversee tool and equipment try-outs to confirm requirements are met.
- Resolve try-out issues and document all changes.
- Investigate and implement design changes to maintain engineering configuration.
- Modify designs to achieve specified functional performance.
- Collaborate with departments, customers, and vendors to enhance design.
- Train toolmakers on manufacturing procedures and equipment use.
- Stay current on industry developments through meetings and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
