A Quality Engineer is needed for a global power leader in the Whitestown, IN area. This role ensures manufacturing and installation processes meet quality standards by leading root cause analysis, driving continuous improvement, managing quality systems, and collaborating cross-functionally to prevent defects and ensure customer satisfaction.

responsibilities:
- Manages systems related to plant customer issues (e.g., corrective actions, supplier corrective actions, nonconforming material reports).
- Leads containment activities for quality issues.
- Facilitates continuous improvement efforts to minimize defects and enhance product/process design.
- Ensures products and processes meet defined quality standards.
- Identifies problems, prioritizes actions, and leads/participates in Six Sigma projects.
- Supports change management by verifying products/processes, defining metrics, and analyzing data.
- Conducts audits of processes and quality systems.
- Collaborates with purchasing to improve quality of incoming parts.
- Acts as a technical quality resource across departments.
