A Project Controls Manager is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Overland Park, KS area. The Project Controls Manager oversees cost control and scheduling functions on a complex power generation project, leading a team in forecasting, risk management, change control, and project reporting, requiring 8+ years of relevant experience (or 10+ without a degree), strong leadership and analytical skills, and preferably a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

responsibilities:
- Lead and develop project controls teams across cost and schedule disciplines.
- Independently apply advanced project controls methods and analysis.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced personnel.
- Positively influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Support department-wide initiatives and proposal efforts.
- Lead cost control on complex projects including: Cost reporting & forecasting, Quantity tracking, Change management, Risk analysis.
- Interpret and provide feedback on cost-related contract requirements.
- Provide contractual review and feedback on scheduling terms.
- Provide contractual review and feedback on scheduling terms.
- Act as an expert in scheduling forensics (as required by business unit).
- Four-year Bachelor's degree with eight or more years of relevant Cost Control of Planning & Scheduling experience or no four-year Bachelor's degree required with ten years or more of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience in Home Office or Field Office.
