Growing manufacturer in Ft. Worth is seeking a Controls Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 1-2 years of experience working with industrial automation and control systems. Ability to understand electrical diagrams and high voltage required, as well as programming with ladder logic and troubleshooting PLC systems. Candidates with lighter experience urged to apply! responsibilities:
- Design, program and troubleshoot industrial control systems utilizing Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
- Utilize strong foundational knowledge in electrical wiring, controls, automation, and industrial networking to support production operations.
- Troubleshoot PLC systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals.
- Work with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
- Provide support during installation, commissioning, and startup phases of new equipment.
- Perform routine system maintenance
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or automation
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with industrial automated control systems
- Understanding of electrical wiring and circuitry related to industrial machines.
- Familiarity with HMI development
- Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and Siemens PLC platforms
- SCADA systems experience a plus
