Leading municipality in Plano, TX is looking to add an Engineering Project Specialist to the team due to growth of projects. This role is onsite with top notch benefits and will provide complex professional and administrative work in support of projects by coordinating the Project Delivery department's letting process for all infrastructure construction projects. This is accomplished by leading the project through the entire process including reviewing final engineering plans, specifications, and estimates, assembling the final proposal books, compiling and producing final plan sets and proposal books as well as leading the full administrative procurement process through internal and external systems. Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant years of experience.

responsibilities:
- Coordinates the development, administration, and monitoring of the Project Delivery department's letting schedule.
- Work involves coordinating the planning, development, and implementation of goals, objectives, guidelines, procedures, schedules, priorities, and/or methods for achieving the delivery of NTTA's Capital Plan projects.
- Work requires extensive contact with department management, procurement department, other departments, engineers, and external governmental agencies or organizations.
- Leads project letting process by prioritizing, scheduling, and leading the project through the procurement process to ensure projects meet documented schedules.
- Review applicable engineering plans, specifications, and estimates for compliance requirements, including formatting, drafting, and technical applications.
- Prepares final proposal books for submission to the responsible engineer or architect for review and signature.
- Helps to coordinate final design packages among NTTA entities, consultants, and Project Delivery department.
- Assembles NTTA Board documents for all construction projects through the procurement process and briefs the Director on all Board actions needed.
- Provides quality assurance processes and procedures for engineering plans, specifications and estimates.
