A Technician Associate is needed for a world class utility company in the New Haven, IN area. This position requires an individual with utility industry experience in an engineering technology field to investigate and gather field data, use design software for utility pole analysis, and prepare work packets and permits for construction crews under the guidance of senior staff.

responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to gather field data.
- Utilize design software to analyze structures.
- Create work packets for construction crews.
- Obtain necessary permits and easements.
- Analyze load information for new customers.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
- Plan and prioritize work according to company standards, and maintain accurate records.
- Apply technical knowledge to solve problems, proactively seek ways to improve processes, and gather and analyze information to perform tasks.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, assist with technical reports, and work well as a team player.
- Develop sound judgment and decision-making skills under guidance, and understand the organizational structure and local unit responsibilities.
- A High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of related utility industry work experience, or
- An Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
