Manufacturing Buyer for a leading innovative manufacturer based near Birmingham, AL. This position is responsible for researching vendors, evaluating products and materials for quality, materials, cost, and availability.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have at least three (3) years buyer/purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with supplier negotiation and development of supplier relationships
- Experience handling MRO and parts suppliers for manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in business, procurement, or related field

responsibilities:
- Responsible for researching vendors, evaluating products and materials for quality, materials, cost, and availability
- Locate suppliers of materials required for product production
- Evaluate and monitor vendor performance against purchasing agreements/contracts to ensure compliance
- Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery to meet production
- Monitor and Review reports to determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for current and forecasted needs
- Resolve delivery issues such as delays, short orders, material discrepancies, and quality issues.
